Here is one of the pictures of my first stall.  Unfortunately you can't see a lot of the stall and the best bit, the main display of soaps are at the other end of the stall behind the customer.  The end of the stall you can see clearly has my basket of 'ugly' soap which I named rustic charm on the day!  I'm sure my friend took some where you could see the entire stall and all the pretty soaps from the front view but he knows how much I hate to see myself in photos so he is hiding them from me because I look horrid, hehe.  This is all I have for now.

What I can see of the stall looks lovely. I have also taken a look at your website, and that is really lovely too. Clear, and calm. Well done.

'Rustic Charm'..... brilliant!  Wink

What a quaint stall, I love the umberella and that photo is fantastic - like an 'action' shot.  Really gives you a feel of the day.  The stall is really pretty and you look lovely.  Did you learn a lot from this first one?

I too have had a nosy at your site, ah.... such a clean, simple yet really pretty site  :buttrf:

It looks lovely, the soap and you, why are we so critical of ourselves? I am the same ,I hate seeing myself in photos, and always concentrate on the bits I hate. :buttrf:

I've just been told more photos have been emailed to me so I'm about to rush home to look at them.  Yea!

I learnt so much from this first stall.  I learnt I must must take a calculator!   :mwaha:  I also learnt how easy it can be to accidentally insult someone when selling soap...

A gentleman sold me some raffle tickets and then jokingly told me there is no limit on how many tickets I can buy so I of course told him there is no limit on how much soap he can buy.  He asked me some questions about the soap and we shared some friendly banter.  The conversation came to a natural end and I found myself stuck for something to say so of course I said something very silly!  I said 'so, 15 bars for you sir?'  I cringe thinking of it now because he immediately followed it by asking if I'm calling him fat and smelly!!   doh!  I wanted to ground to open up and swallow me!  Thankfully the nervous energy that was fueling me through the day seemed to speed my thought processes and I very quickly managed to turn it around into a compliment.  I told the gentleman he was clearly a very friendly man & must have many friends who would like a lovely gift.  Phew!  I'm lucky he took it all so well and it was just a bit of market banter, it could have been worse!  I'll never forget how I managed to call tell someone they smell in an attempt to sell my soap.

I've lots of changes I want to make to the stall and how I display the soaps, I can't wait for my next stall so I can try things out again.  Grin

Lissi your stall is pretty, love the parasol and you ust look right at home there. You'll find that your stall will evolve as you do more shows, have a look at other craft stalls to get ideas too & have a look at other ones on here, possibly flickr too.
What I don't think you told us......did you do well?

Awww, thanks.  It's actually just Lissi.  It's Tolkien's elvish and means 'sweet'.  The stall was at a small village fete, nothing as big as the county show but next year... hehe.

I think it went really well.  It was only on for 4 hours which I didn't realise until the day but I turned over £81!  For my first stall and in just four hours I'm super pleased!   Happy Dance
