Yah, I got vetted today and approved! EJ sent me a link to the crafts at Culzean crescent and I finally managed to go today. I knew my goodies were to be vetted, as they told me that in my email. BUt I thought that meant "hand in some samples and we'll get back to you". I didn't expect to show my wares to 4 committee members. They were really really nice, funny and chatty, and were very complimentary. AND as there is a spare table tommorrow, I've got an impromtu stall.

they normally have a membership fee, but told me that as all the stalls are booked for this year, I don;t need to pay that, but that the will contact me if there is a cancelation.

Funny, I was thinking of not going as I was sure they would say NO, but I am so glad I went now. And Matthew had a fab afternoon running around in his straw hat (think a mini me version of Alf Stewart from HOme and Away and you get the picture) and chatting to anyone who would listen. Bless.(But why isn't he cheeky to strangers  Angry does he save it up for his parents?Huh?)

Anyway I'm so chuffed. Tomorrows plan for soapy stuff is, well, stuffed, but I did make a new BB and CP soap this morning so we'll see how they go

Thanks girls   :buttrf: :buttrf: I've got plenty of stock. My work ethic is I make when I feel able to cos there's plenty times I don;t and I don't want the stress of making when I feel poorly. So thankfully I';m just relaxing tonight, not making things.

And H, if it goes as well as last weekends Merchant City, I won;t be letting on. That was so poor. I was warned today that that even if the craft fair is busy, you might not sell much as peeps are there to visit the castle, not necessarily to buy. Oh well, it's a start xx

Even so it's a nice place to not do so well in if OH is there as well to give you some time away from your stall IYSWIM.

That would have been nice but he'll be going back home once he's dropped me off. He get so little time off where he can just relax and do his own thing without Matthew being there (he's at nursery cos they had the ealrier May holiday) that it would be cruel to ask him to stay with me. And besides, he looks so bored the times he has stayed with me at past events he probably puts customers off  Cheesy

Hi Rachael,  :buttrf:

It went fairly well. The table was only £15 as it can be hit or miss, but I took in £74. I only sold 4 wee soaps, the rest was all body butters so I am dead chuffed. I also managed to make the table look nicer with less clutter. So I also took MUCH less stock than before so it was only 4 boxes to carry.

I'm also pooped! I'm thinking twice about the merchant city at the weekend as I only covered my table over 13 hours work, but it might get better. It's a glass of wine and an early night for me Grin

There were some gorgeous crafts there, one of the best crafts in terms I've sen in terms of quality. The woman next to me must have made a bomb - she sold loads of her jewelery (some peope were buying 2 sets at £30 each) - all handmade, all beautiful. I was tempted myself to buy some.

Well done honey! That's fab. I had a brilliant day too. Body butters were a good seller for me too, must be people trying to get summer skin ready!  :buttrf:

Glad it went well for you and you certainly made a good profit for your outlay.  You deserve that glass of wine!
