HP Soap is NOT rough and soft!

« on: April 23, 2009, 02:03:51 PM »

(copied from elsewhere - note the bit about selling)

This is a free event that everyone is welcome to attend at the weekend. These are usually very positive, uplifting events, full of creative energy and good feeling.

They're happy to have pagan handcrafters bring along their work and sell it informally from a blanket on the ground.

Earth Week - A new idea!

The Pagan Federation has held Earth Day events on the weekend nearest April 22nd for the past 20 years. The object has been to raise awareness of the destructive effects humans are having on the Earth and to work magically to change people’s hearts and minds. Since 22nd April falls mid-week, Pagan Federation London is having an Earth Week! On the weekends 18/19 and 25th/26th April, we hope to have lots of small informal groups or families all over London, getting together to do ecological work such as clean-ups in local parks or joining a local environmental group to help with one of their projects, or even in their own gardens. There will be attunements to the needs of the Earth and all its creatures, plus discussions to share ideas about ecologically aware living. Then during the week we hope that everyone will be aware of their energy use and waste production and will consider ways in which they can more efficiently conserve energy, recycle, and cut pollution for the future.

Outdoor Beltane Festival

PF London’s Earth Week will end with a grand outdoor Beltane Festival and Earth Blessing, held in Queens Wood.

hmm, but it would be diffificult for people with bad backs having to bend over to pick things or take a closer look, i wonder why they've chosen that particular venue.

Well if you're pagan, holding a pagan festival inside sort of defeats the purpose  Wink  Gotta be outside for that sort of thing!  If people need to see supplies I'm sure there's no trouble giving a "hand up" as it were.

Shame I just heard about this now...boo!  Oh well, I'm certainly in the "down home" area for the summer soltice crowd (provided they don't trash the stones again, grrrrrr  Strop)
