I don't know if it helps or if I am too late, but www.ravelry.com is the place most knitters/crocheters (at least those with access to computers) go for help/patterns and so on. There is a forum as well but I have read several instructions "translated" in crochet with video links for left handed crocheters. Good luck, it is an absorbing and surprisingly artistic craft to enjoy.  Smiley

I am a natural leftie who was trained into my right hand as a child.  It made me ambidextrous but I still reach for things with my left hand.

My mam is ambidextrous too and I can also use both hands for writing etc.  my brain just isn't working that when it comes to crochet.  My poor gran is a natural lefty and when she was small at school her left arm was strapped behind her back as it was the 'devil hand.' She was forced to use her right. Good old Catholic Ireland eh?

That was done to my uncle too.  So Grandma made sure every child born a leftie was trained into their right hands before school.  Here they would rap the knuckles of anyone trying to use their left hand to write....  What a cruel society.

Not very well.  My crochet books still haven't arrived and I'm finding the tutorials on YT really hard to follow.  Can't wait for them to get here.  Haven't also had that much free time as I've been working late this week and had a lot on.  Can't wait to master the granny square though!  Good job on yours though!   :buttrf:  It looks great!!!

ooh I love crochet and knitting, I made my son a bobble hat last year and we get people stopping us when we're out and asking us where we bought it, which is hilarious cos it's just something I knocked up when I was doing farmers markets inbetween customers. I've still got the blanket I knitted for my daughter while I was in labour, although after 17 years it's looking a bit dishevelled.............

I just don't have enough time now to commit to proper crochet and knitting, loads of wool etc but no hours left in the day  Sad
