I am knitting a scarf from my handspun. I dyed some casmere and silk a dusty mid-blue colour and I am doing it in moss stitch. I tend to use simple stitches as a lot complex stitches get lost in the wool especially as I do a lot of angora.
I mainly make scarves these days as preesies as they fit everyone . It is getting out of control as I make 14 last year as Christmas pressies !! What is everyone else doing ?

I keep looking at all my fabric, thinking I really oughta make another quilt one of these days. And then I look at all the beautiful pieces of antique french linen and lace and think I really oughta do something with all that stuff........... so I guess I am in the pre-planning stage, errmm..........

I have several quilts that need quilting, several quilts that need making, several cross stitch kits that need finishing never mind the ones that want starting. Apart from that nope.

I got a sewing machine for my birthday this year, back at the beginning of march, I would love to start sewing, customising clothes etc.. but I still haven't even used it, it just looks SO complicated!

I love hand sewing, I'm just very very bad at it. I love jewellery making too, it's so relaxing.

I am feeling pretty rubbish at the moment so maybe I'll have a night off creating me wax creations and lotions and potions and sit on the sofa with my beads.. maybe...

I think there are more stitchers Ruth, do you felt as well as spin?

Wish I had room for a loom - can't even find space for a table model ATM!

Using a sewing machine? I've got a few books too, one is quite a cool one called 'yeah, I made it myself'. I just need to take the plunge at get on with it, I just have this block that it's going to be so difficult.. but I took the plunge with soaping so I should be able to thread up a sewing machine shouldn't I?!

I've got a load of unfinished x-stitches (and new ones just begging to be started)
A load of unfinished crochet bags & felted purses
Danglies to make (sorry H's little A)

Oh, and a few soaps to be sorted out.

Oh again, a couple of half-knitted scarves lurking somewhere.

(I'm not a soap addict, I'm not)

I have a habit of starting something then losing interest when I see that it's working out OK - unless it's specially for someone.

Hi Elaine

No, I don't do felting. It never really interested me. I did start to learn to weave but then the cats took over . I didn't find at as relaxing as spinning perhaps because I wasn't experienced enough. I do have 3 looms though.
A full sized one which is in storage, a portable one and a little ashford table loom. I also have a large collection of spinning wheels and spinning stools----excessive or what !!! LOL !!!
I love spinning. I find it soooo relaxing. Knitting too.
