Helen/ Kes - I too liked the change but also liked the idea that individual members could change it if preferred.

Just want to also say that Kes has been a fantastic help to me this week in sorting out my website development woes - how you had the time to look at my html/ CSS writings as well as developing Fresholi I don't know!!!

I was honest, I really didn't like it. I love this forum the way it is, its why I spend so much of my spare time here!
The fact that the background is pale makes it easy for me to read, the green didn't, but obviously if I could have changed the colour I would have.
 

Its easy when you can crack the whip hard enough Karen  :mwaha:  (bless him)

before it was taken down, I had the chance to look at the new user profile stuff.  Can't you default it to the usual look for everyone, and then those of us that liked the 'Hulk' look can go in and change our personal settings?  I was using a PC when the change happened and I agree that it was quite green, but no doubt that can be toned down in due course.  I'm now using my laptop, so would like to give you feedback on how it looks.  The new features and look were great!

Anyway, wouldn't this keep everyone happy?

Kes is looking into it (he has also just said that some browsers may have been clicking (I think the term was - probably wasn't  ) to the nearest web colour which would have looked different to the original that was on mine and kes's screen).

I've just been off to eat and am now on the laptop, I'd set the brightness down to 20% before firing up FFox - but had a pleasant surprise.

I hadn't set any themes from my profile - the cream background is set in FF (doesn't work on all sites but it's easer on the eyes than white).

I've just been to look in profile - if you want those greens you can select the theme - it's the bottom one (no indication that it's going to be green until you try "Preview".

It is softer on the laptop (with brightness turned back up) but still lots of green.

A girl goes off for a few hours and look what happens!  I don't mind either (just had a look at the green one), but I did find even on a laptop that that particular green was quite bright.
