I never know where to put discussions or questions about ingredients. Because many of the ingredients are used by soapers and potioners alike, I was wondering if we could have a Raw Ingredients forum? Or can someone tell me the best place for that type of post? (sorry if I am being dense lol)

I suppose either Formulators' General or Soapmakers' General - could get a bit lost in General Discussion.

I don't know whether soapmakers don't look at formulators and vice versa though.

I don't tend to look in formulators discussions if that helps to define where you might put it.

I don't usually look in soapmakers which made me wonder if soapmakers look in formulators, which then made me realise that we could potentially be missing out on an opportunity to share information and offer advice on some common topics such as ingredients.

Hmmm.....  I can set up an ingredients board up quite easily if you would like one.  I think originally, the General Discussion board was meant to be there for generic dicussions but if you would like a dedicated board, I can do that.  Would there be any objections or suggestions?

A lot of topics in General Discussion really belong in Non-Cosmeholic - Feel free to talk about anything and everything in this board. could be reworded to something on the lines of General discussion about ingredients, products and presentation or words to that effect, which could include other fragranced products which members may be making.

I think the GD board was there before the N-C, hence the similarity in wording in the description.

I've been thinking about this.  Indeed the General Board came before the Non-Cosmeholic board so needs the description updating there.  Do you think this would serve useful for general ingredient discussions?
