Saponification...it's just good clean fun!

WWW
« on: May 19, 2010, 10:58:54 AM »

Just wanted to stop by and say hello before I spend hours browsing through all the interesting posts! I'm Lilli and I live in Accrington, a small town in Lancashire in the north-west.

I've been crafting all my life - I've done cross-stitch and scrapbooking but my favourites are knitting, crocheting and making jewellery. Recently I received some handmade soap and hand cream as a gift. I loved it! I did some research, loaaads of reading and that's it....I'm hooked  Grin

Looking forward to 'meeting' and sharing ideas with you all........

Hello Lilli - welcome.

We have never managed to get a FAQ together so if you can't find out what you want to know in the oodles of topics and resources (there's such a lot it's not always easy to find what you want) just give a shout.

Thanks for the lovely warm welcome  Smiley

ElaineJ - Thank you, no doubt I'll be shouting for help loud and often!

Eire - I will get some pics up soon, promise! When will I be soaping? Well.... I've got a dissertation due in on Friday (which I'll finish tomorrow if I can tear myself away from here - last minute Lilli, that's me!), two exams next week, one final exam on the 7th of June, a week's holiday in Turkey on the 15th June, then I'll be free to soap all summer. Yayyyyyyyyyy  Grin

Oo, I'm a Burnley girl too! I must be a lot older than you though as I was born at Bank Hall Maternity Hospital, on Colne Road. I'm not sure but I think it may be a Care Home now. 'Tis a small world.....

Hi Lilli, welcome. You'll love it here,

Being nosey, what are you studying?

I'm coming to the end of a BA Joint Hons English and Sociology. I've been offered a place at Lancaster on the MA in Social Work next year and I'm waiting for an interview for a place at Blackburn on the PGCE in the Lifelong Learning Sector. I don't know which I want to do yet. To be honest, I'm really fed up of studying now (and working nights every weekend to help fund it). I want to be a housewife and cook and clean and craft every day Smiley

Well done on getting a placement and good luck with your studies. I'd love to be a housewife and craft all day (and pay someone else to clean and cook  Cheesy)
