Happily soaping in Spain

WWW
« on: March 10, 2010, 06:56:23 PM »

hi all

Just came back from a trip to Morocco - did you know that most of the high quality rose eo comes from there ? I read on the web that at harvest time, French perfumiers come down en masse, set up their distilling machines, and distill the rose on the spot. Then take most of it back to France to sell at v v high prices!

Anyway, that was just something I found interesting.

While in Morocco, I bought 2 kilos of rose buds (not petals). I was considering selling some of these on, at reasonable prices, if anyone is interested. If not, I'll keep them!

Let me know if you are interested. If anyone wants a photo, I can set my hubbie on it!

LOL - nice to see the interest!

Sorry I didn't get photos or prices up today. My husband the photographer was fussing around with his new media server all day, so my rose buds didn't get a look in!

Will post them tomorrow, I hope!

Well, guys, FINALLY!!! Here are a couple of pictures of the rose buds in question! They are not picture perfect, as you can see, but they seem really nice quality and still very much have a strong rose scent.

As you can see, it's a combination of (some) rose petals and (mostly) rosebuds.

I've looked at prices elsewhere. They seem to go for about 100 g @ £3.00 + VAT for petals, and 100 g @ £4.80 +VAT for rosebuds.

So here's the deal.

Minimum order 250 grams.
I will sell up to a kilo, but when my 'spare'  kilo is gone, that's it.
Price will be £7.50 for 250 grams. No VAT.
Shipping from Spain not included (but they are light!)

If you're interested let me know! And if interest is high, I can buy more next time we pop over to Tangier!
