I'm looking for purple scrunchies ... not lavender.  Found one place but then it's home page said it'd gone out of business.

Otherwise, I'd go for white... not that many either, about 15.

Anyone know where I could get that where the postage isn't completely stupid to Ireland?

Eire? Oh font of all Irish supplier knowledge!!!!

They are dead easy and I used to make them from fabric scraps which are dead cheap at the fabric stores. All you need is a small amount of fabric (depending on what size you want them in) and those elastics that go into men's y-fronts (these ones: http://www.yatego.com/haushaltswaren-hoehn/p,48dd02939d5fa,48d3c9d4ee3d73_3,gummiband-gold-zack-knopflochgummi - without the buttonholes).

1) Put fabric on the wrong side and sew a tube
2) turn inside out, fiddle in the elastic and cut the elastic to size and handsew together
3) close the hole by handsewing it together

takes about 10 mins for each of them

I used to use the sewing machine to make a bunch of tubes and then took them with me to handsew whenever I had some time, like on the bus or train etc. I had loads, sadly no purple ones...

Salon services might be expensive, they usually are for that type of thing. Pennys of Euro shops would be a better bet. I think they are 1.50 in Pennys. I used loads in baskets at xmas. They had white, pink, lav and purple. I'll check Newbridge if you have no luck up there. I'll make a couple of  calls tomorrow.

Yes, sorry... meant shower ones.  Should have been clearer.

Thanks Eire - I can check Penneys in DL also... and of course, Salon Services, we use them in work (d'oh!).

Thanks!
