I am going to try and make some lotions, but I haven't got any Litmas Paper or something to test the PH after I have made it.

Could someone help and let me know where I can buy it, or is there an alternative that I could use.

Sorry if I sound vague, but this is new to me.  Don't want to strip the skin off my bones.

Alas, litmus paper is not what you need - it only tells you whether or not it is acid or alkali, and not the actual pH. You really need pH paper or a pH meter. Unfortunately, mine of useless information that I am, I do not know where to get these. I just trust that I got it right enough...

I think a lot of soapers do the tongue test too (or instead of)

Thank you,  i did make some lotion and put some on yesterday and I still have skin - so maybe it is alright.  Think I will do a search on Google for the paper - for next time.

Hi
Although I am sarah's customer, I have never posted.
Try ebay for a pH meter, very reasonable priced.
I prefer a meter as you can reuse and reuse so cheaper in the long run

you can try a tropical fish shop in your area, they sell PH meters (quite expensive) and Hagen PH tests (drop tests, the tablets would be useless for lotions) - just in case you would like to see the product, rather than buy blind on the internet (I am one of those weird people who would like to see and feel something before I buy it)
