My name is Deborah and I started making soaps over a year ago, following a passion I had for natural organic smellies and body products for many years.  I love love love it, and so far have had almost total success. Well except one brief visit to HP, but we won't mention anything about volcanoes!
I am longing to make a little business out of my love of creating soaps, but am waiting till lil fella goes to school.  I am delighted to meet you all, and this is such a beautiful website!

I look forward to sharing about the wonderful creative talents that so many of you are indulging in.  is there anyone else out there who lives in the South West UK?

See you all soon
Warm wishes and waves all round

Hi Deborah

Welcome & enjoy it here.  Some members are slightly mad (not me of course) so we have a giggle too as well as learning/sharing.
Have fun!

Hello Deborah

I think the nearest person to the SW who posts regularly is Ruth and she isn't really very SW.

Thank you all- you certainly are a very welcoming welcome committee!  I have spent the evening trolling round the different topics, and want to go and make some soap this minute!!!!!! But as it is very cold in my soap box, I will wait until I have sorted it out a bit more and put a heater in there.  I could always go back to using the kitchen, but our 3 cats - who have been tucked away somewhere all evening, will without doubt sense something "happening" and all appear for attention.........argggh! It never fails.  One time I was presented with a frog as I was whizzing the soap mix.  Organic - yes, but not too appealing in soap batches, so I declined!

Keilly - yes I do remember you from last year, hi (waves hands!) I keep meaning to get in touch again, I was so inspired by what you have created, it is akin to my dreams.  If it's o.k,  I will call you again.  And it's wonderful to know you're still going strong.

I have only got as far as making batches for family and friends, (who seem to keep asking if I have made any more) and have thought of my business name, but need some encouragement and help to decide on what recipes to use for assessment, etc etc etc.  There is so much choice of yummy oils and other ingredients, too much choice in fact, that its just not fair, so I tend to think........"errrm......I'll do it tomorrow". (oh yes?....hmmm).

I am very soapcited now, I can feel a batch coming on very soon............especially for that prezzie time of year...........

Great post Deborah.
It's great to see real passion.
Looking forward to seeing your soaps  Wink
Not sure if you can see any of the posts about certification? If not PM one of the mods or any of the soapy people and I'm sure they will help.
The more you post the more boards will open up for you  Wink
