Hi

I'm a new soap and lotion maker.  I have three batches of soap under my belt, of increasing success, but rather boring.  I'm intending to make sure that the next one will be more colourful and that the scent will stay for more than a day.

I am also quickly becoming addicted to making creams and lotions.  My pink marshmallow body cream is my favourite so far (contains marshmallow, smells of marshmallow, looks like marshmallow, and is absolutely lovely on the skin).

My biggest problem is figuring out ways to make me and my family use more soap and creams.

I'm so pleased to have found a friendly forum based in the UK, so that I can identify the ingredients and suppliers people are using!

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Rule 1: We demand photo's.
Rule 2: See rule 1.

You could tell you family and friends they are testing the products for you. It is not a problem I have. Mine are all keen to get a freebie.

The marshmallow cream sounds lovely.

Thank you everyone.   Cheesy

I had some lovely marshmallow body cream a very long time ago - from Boots, I think, who had a natural range at the time.  I loved it so much that I stopped using it for fear it would run out... stupid of me, of course.  The colour faded, the scent disappeared, and I eventually had to throw it away.  Now, though, I'm going to use my newly made cream as much as I like, because when I finish it I will be able to make some more - win-win!   Cool

I've done that before.  I did have to ask myself, what on earth was the logic behind that?!  Roll Eyes :mwaha:

Don't you worry.  Also, posting pics of your firsties is great because in a few years time, when you are supplying lots of shops etc... you have a record to reflect upon - like a diary    Wink Grin :buttrf:
