Me, my husband, and baby girl!

« on: September 27, 2013, 08:57:43 PM »

My name is Inga and I'm a fulltime momma to Elsa! I've just started soap making about 2 months ago (definitely a newbie!) and stumbled across this forum today. I love how friendly it is and what a great resource!  I'm looking into starting a soapmaking business and have really been enjoying the recipes I've tried so far, but would like to start making my own recipes. I've downloaded the soap calculator but to be honest, I'm not very good at excel speadsheets and I find it very confusing! Any tips on using the soap calculator?
Thanks!

Hello Inga, welcome to the forum.

Many of us use the online calulator SoapCalc , which has a good help page.

Hi Inga and welcome to the forum.  I personally don't make soap but sooo many on the forum do and are very supportive.  Have a look through some of the threads because no doubt, a good number of your questions have probably been discussed.

I hope you enjoy it here  :buttrf: :buttrf:

hi and welcome from me. If you aren't great with spreadsheets, you can always do the calculations by hand or calculator. It's just a case of multiplying SAP values for each weight of oil in your recipe.
