Hi everyone, I'm Gracey,  I am not new to this site.  In fact it was two years ago almost to the day that I messaged a lovely lady, Naked, Truth, Beauty. I make a sugar scrub with E.O's, mostly for my sister to use (she has psoriasis) she sometimes gets me to make more for her friends and colleagues.  Anyway, I wanted to be able to make it and sell it legally to the wider public but I chickened out and listened to the doubts of other people saying that its not a viable business (I am (was) such a stupid flake and wasted loads of time).

Anyway, 'Jane Horrocks' to that, I've just turned 51 and time is running out, i've FINALLY come to the conclusion that this is what I want to do, it will make me happy and even if I try and make my stuff and nobody else but my sister and her mates buys it at least I would have tried......But I might need some help, if that's ok with you lot.  Thanks and sorry for the rant.

Hi Gracey and welcome.
First lesson and at 51 you should have learned this years ago, 'say nay to the naysayers'. You go for it girl and enjoy the journey.

For selling, you need safety assessment and insurance.
For assessments, see here. Rachael will look after you (same as person you mentioned above). http://www.cosmeticsafetyassessment.com/

Insurance - http://www.craftinsurance.co.uk/

There's a cr*p load of paperwork involved too when selling, but just work through it slowly and steadily and you will be fine. Read through the forum, loads of info on here. All else fails, plenty of people here to help those willing to help themselves.

Hi and welcome

Nothing to add to the wise words the others have said.  Just go for it and have fun

(I think there are quite a few of us around who left our teenage years a wee while back) :mwaha:

Hi, Gracey and welcome - it is never too late.......I started seriously almost three years ago when I was made redundant at 54. I found the people on this forum more than generous with their help/advice/shoulder-to-cry-on-when-a-batch-went-wrong and it is a lovely place to come and learn. Seriously, this forum is unlike any other I have been on - everyone is so supportive and lovely.

Oh......and did anyone mention that we like photos?  Wink
