Hello Fee,

The reason your wings didn't flap is because the uploader has to re-size images larger than 100px wide and tall.

It doesn't do animated .gifs, so it converts them to the nearest format with transparency (.png).

If your avatar is 100px wide and tall, then the uploader will leave the file alone.

And your wings will flap.

That picture was taken in my front room (hence the dodgy wall colour) in the middle of writing my dissertation (about a month ago). I may put up a new one when it has been handed in, but it's quite an accurate representation at the moment. Except that I don't normally carry the big stick around.

I just love the way you do your make-up, any tips?

So if you don't normally carry a big stick around, what was the stick for in the picture?  Undecided

Actually, I put the makeup on specifically for the picture - because my skin's so pale, it was difficult to make out where my eyes started. Not a good look, but usually I just put up with it  Cheesy Anyway, I used a liquid eyeliner (with more precision than usual) and mascara. So simple, but it really does work!

The stick is one I bought for Kiaido Ryu (my martial art) a little while ago. It's rather a nice stick (a bo staff, made out of red oak, although that doesn't come out very well in the picture), and I thought it might like to be included, as it spends most of its time sitting there doing nothing. As with most things in my life, I think it will get more attention when the dissertation's in.

Wow Fee!  It's just like I imagined you to look!!  Aw wook at that wuvly puppy dog!!  Well mine will be up shortly (hopefully - Kestrel's on task right now).

Abigail, thank's for the tips & I can see that with such a pale complexion, if you don't have make-up on, it could be a problem in the snow?  And the stick!  With such a finely crafted stick I would certainly find many a use for it.  It's a shame that you can't see the grain in the picture, maybe you could do a close up sometime so we can see what a fine example of a red oak bo staff it truly is.  You must be so proud.  Grin

Well there you go!  If Fee can do it then so can I  Grin  Although I must say, Fee took the easy way out by posting to the message and not using her picture as an avatar and therefore avoiding being slattered all over the forum, lol   Cheesy

Now that's something I dont get told every day  Embarrassed (by the way, that emoticon is supposed to be a red face but to me, it look's just plain miserable, lol...  I must get Kestrel on the emoticon task).  Thank you Fee but you are being far too kind.  I don't like having my photo taken, not one little bit and there are VERY few of them.  This was just about the best one I could find so may be misleading  Cool
