just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Andy in London. I've not been making soaps long... just over a year, but I'm hooked. I make cold and hot process soaps, but really love making clear liquid soaps. I've pretty much got Catherine Failor's book etched in my brain. There is more flexibility with fragrances with liquid soaps. Solid soaps often just eat up the fragrance. Mixing fragrances is quite tough to get right though. Can anyone recommend a good book on mixing/creating fragrances?

Hi Andy and you are very welcome!

This is a wonderful forum! Extremely helpful.

I haven't done any Liquid soap yet - but as the days go on I am more and more tempted!

Andy -  By the way we love photos!  Grin

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Oh excellent a perfume expert and she does courses in London. I'm based in Harrow.

I live far enough out to be able to have a decent garden. I keep some Mandarin & Ringed Teal ducks at the bottom of the garden. Here are pics of some of them. I try to just keep just 2 pairs of Mandarins and a pair of Ringed Teals, but occasionally overrun with them when they decide they want to have ducklings. Hard to resist as they are so cute...
