Hello Fresholi members,

First thank you for accepting me into your lovely and informative forum... My name is Isabelle. I am a French creative perfumer making natural perfumes (and aromatherapy blends) based on essential oils, absolutes and concretes. I have been doing this since a very earlier age when I lived in a beautiful Pacific island, surrounded with the smell of tropical flowers and coconut! I have always macerated flowers in coconut oil  Pot and this combined with my travelling all over the world including buying and selling spices in Africa led me to become a perfumer. I sell my perfume collection on my website www.lesparfumsisabelle.co.uk

I am currently finishing my studies to obtain my diploma in Aromatherapy and am also learning aromatherapy massage although I am already a Taurumi massage specialist. I am also developing bespoke aromatic fragrances as part of my olfactory marketing services.

I recently became more and more interested in the more cosmetic aspect of the beauty industry since I am having more and more demands from clients for bespoke spa products and natural household products so my hope is to find experts on Fresholi to learn more and more about developing creams and lotions or to share business. I used to buy creams and bath lotions from French laboratories but I want to know what is put in my client's creams!!

My personal contribution will obviously be more about natural perfumes, fragrances and aromas for which I am passionate and will always be happy to share my expertise.

I look forward to sharing on this great forum!

Hello and Welcome Isabelle.

We've just had a perfume swap - but no doubt there will be another.

oo la la....  How wonderful.  A perfumist, just the lady  Wink  This is something I am getting more and more interested in myself.  You may well find your brains being severely picked  Grin

A very warm welcome to the forum.  Have a browse around the threads, many questions and answers already happened and do feel free to join the discussions.  We are a friendly bunch (with one or two slightly crazy ones).

I very much look forward to chatting with you around the boards and do feel free to start new topics  Grin

Love the website by the way  Wink

Bonjour Isabelle, welcome to this lovely forum, I'm getting very curious about the whole perfumer thing myself.  We used to crush rose petals as children & stuff lavender into our pillows, but I think all kids probably did! Off to take a look at your website.

Mangtout! (its an English thing  :mwaha:)

Best wishes

Hello Isabelle.
Welcome to the forum. Great to have you hear. I take my hat off to anyone who can blend EO's, it's something I have great difficulty in.
Will go and have a wee look at your website too.
Hope you like it here.

Welcome to our community. How exciting to have someone who can mix e/o's. I adore the smells you can create when you blend various oils together and always marvel at the different out come.

Waow!  big hug

Thank you for such a warm welcome everyone... I am thrilled to be part of this friendly community. I browsed already and all I can say is that everyone seems to be bringing something positive to this world!

I also often look for 'human guinea pigs' to do a test run of new perfumes before deciding to sell them or not so I am even more thrilled to have found you as I see that Swap and Testing are part of the forum... For the last launch of my 'strawberry ginger perfume called Red Passion', I put a 'free sample promotion' on the first page of my website against people joining my mailing list. What I did not realise is that there were some freebies forums fishing out there and I ended up with 2000 visitors in one day and a mailing list of 900 people!! Argh! Needless to say that I had to stop the offer within 24 hours but everyone who joined before got the free sample... I have learnt my lesson and will now stick to like-minded communities to do test runs...

Do not hesitate to pick my brain if you want to go deeper in perfume making... I'll be most happy to share my passion.

Looking forward to many chats!!

Hello and welcome  big hug My daughter is also Izabelle (yes with a 'z'  Grin) , it is such a pretty name!

We are so excited to have a perfumer here  WooHoo!.

I meant to say that I had a similar experience as you re the freebies sites a couple of years ago. I had a yahoo group of interested people and testers which had and I'm sent an email to them to say I was offering free samples. Within a few hours I was swamped with requests for free samples via the website. When I tracked the visits through web stats I found they had all come from a freebie forum where one of the group had posted. I felt gutted because I thought there was an understanding amongst the group-I was a small one-person business hand making everything and I felt a little betrayed. Most of the emails were simply asking for 'free samples' so I'd email them back saying for them to look through the website and tll me exactly what they wanted samples of, and most of them didn't even bother!! They really wanted something for ABSOLUTELY nothing!  Shocked

That is an awful (and pretty expensive) experience for the both of you.

Frenchily, please, please, please post a few more times and get to junior (50 posts) as there is a board that will open up to you on EO's where we have begun perfume discussions.  There have been a few issued raised there which you may find interesting.  Keep posting pleeeeeaaaasssssse  Grin
