What I do when I'm not soaping...

WWW
« on: April 26, 2012, 06:06:42 PM »

Hello my name is Sarah and I'm planning to start up my own soaping business, always loved smellies and have been enjoying making soap for my own use.

our kitchen design company went bust last year (thanks to the recession) and I'm keen to turn my hobby into a success.
So all help, advice, tips all warmly received, in return you'll have to forgive all the beginner questions oh and the blonde logic too...  Undecided

Also very unsure about the SA testing and stuff, can someone please walk me through all that Embarrassed
I cold processed a batch of lime and parsley and a batch of orange soap yesterday. All set and ready to store.

Look forward to hearing all about all the members on here and sharing with you all.
Many thanks

Hello Sarah and welcome to the friendliest forum on the net.  You'll find some of your answers as you read through the forum and the more you post, the more that will open up for you to see.

Feel free to ask your questions, because everyone here is always happy to help.  I can't answer any of your SA questions as I live in Canada, but I will help where I can.... :buttrf:

Thank you, Ive enrolled on Mick O'Sullivans start up soap business course to help get me in the right direction, everything here requires a paper trail from what I have picked up so far...but I won't let it deter me!
How long have you been soap making? And what other products do you make?

Hi Sarah,

A warm welcome to the forum  Smiley

I know it's a bit daunting working through the route to the point where you can sell, but it sounds like you have made a good start and I am sure you will succeed very soon  :buttrf: :buttrf:

Hi Sarah! This really is the friendliest forum on earth. I wish I could help you, but I'm the other side of the world, and we don't have assessments -- yet! Looks like they're coming. So I thought I'd learn things the right way to begin with, and try to get a leg up that way. Try searching the, forum. I've founds lots of help that way, and if you can't find it, or you come up with an odd question, everyone here is so helpful, and there are many pros here. So, welcome!     Grin
