Hi to everyone on the forum!!!

Do not really know how to use this forum yet!!! I will get the hang of it soon enough!!!

I am very knew to the soaping world - and i am absolutely addicted!!! I love the way in the morning after having made a batch of soap that the butterflies come from excitement to see how it all worked out!!! I began last October. I didnt even know what LYE was!!!!  Roll Eyes!!! I just love it. I have had so so many botched up batches  Soapbox- but that just made me more determined!!! Every botched up batch has been thrown into the slow cooker - and saved somewhat!!! I had tried so many times to make a 6 colour swirl!!! But every time i tried it the colours would drag each other down and either turn out grey or brown!!!! But hurray!!!!  :hap2:At last!!!! Last week i made two really nice 6 colour swirl batches. I was so so pleased!!!! I kept looking at them all day from different angles!!!! I have to keep my ego in check though!!!! Bad I just felt childlike again!!!  And very happy that it turned out right this time!!! Anyway, I find soap quite humbling!!!!  Every time you think yes I've done it something else goes wrong!!! Thats exactly what I love - its continuous learning. I live in Ireland and find that as a craft soaping is not a high priority!!! Paper craft, needlework crafts, quilting etc all have much more of a following. I have seen some of the wonderful products that have been made on I am Handmade - and that lady is Irish - I was thrilled with that!!! I have tried to source my ingredients from Ireland but by god they are expensive - so i purchase all my supplies from England. It would be great to get these ingredients here at a competitive rate - If anyone from Ireland does source their raw materilas from somewhere in ireland i would be delighted to know where.  News
Anyway - that was a very long hello!!!! I am a bit of a chatterbox!!!  Embarrassed
I need to get more lye - i just ran out!!! Then i am going to do another swirl thingy!!! I will take a picture and put it up - good or not!!!!  Smiley
Day day everyone - I hope I can get a lot of advice from all you advance soapers out there!!!  :buttrf: Kiss

Hi Tanya... did I hear my name mentioned?!

Welcome ... whereabouts are you in Ireland?

And yep, sourcing ingredients here is a nightmare, I gave that up as a bad job a long while ago.

Yes indeed i mentioned you!!! Your products look fab!!! I have seen you on You Tube doing your spoon swirl technique!!! Very quirky!! I live in Ballylinan in Co. Laois - very quiet here - nice 'n' peaceful.  angel
How long have you been soaping? I started only in October and creams and lotions in August. I absolutely love it!!! Hooked completely!!!  Kiss :buttrf:
