We've been invited to take our soaps to a Chrismas Event (carols etc) tonight,  so busy finishing up with wrapping etc.

Not quite sure if this will be worth it or not as it's not being advertised as having anything to sell.
Also, the weather's been really bad and it's now snowing.  Think that may put people off (may mean we can't get there anyway)

I'm actually really tired and a little part of me is hoping we can't get there (is that really awful Shocked

I suppose, like many things, once you get there you enjoy it.  So maybe it'll start to get me in a nice Christmassy mood and I'll have a lovely evening and sell lots of soapy stuff Wink

Actually it was quite a nice evening.

It was about 1hr drive from here - temp was -2 when we set off, but +1 when we got there (quite warm actually).
We were in a small church, but it was nice.  Tastefully modernised - so still the big, stained glass windows, but lowered ceiling, unusual semi-circular platform and chairs instead of pews.
The rehab centre also had a 'craft stand' and someone else was selling crafts.  The others were out in the, very cold, foyer, and we were at the back of the church.
The choir was actually very good - not at all what I'd expected.  It was a youth choir, but the did a very traditional Christmas programme, with readings (King James Version) between the hymns/carols.  It was a bit strange to be at a 'youth thing' with such a trad programme, the singing was very mature and choral, but the standard was very good.
We were only selling for about 30mins at the end, while people drank tea and ate mince pies.  Did 'ok' with sales, not brilliant, but definitely ok and had quite a pleasant evening which we finished off by stopping for something to eat on the way home.
Arrived back here at 11.30, a sprinkling of snow on the ground and back to -1.
