Hi Kim, I'm quite new here, and I have never found a more friendly, and very very helpful group of people as I have here. You'll love it. Good luck.

Hi and welcome Kim, so exciting that you're getting certified(so to speak)! Hope it all goes well, I must say this particular forum is so addictive and also great fun.Its funny you are the Chicken Lady - I get called ' the Dog Lady' as I am a groomer, which is bad enough but several of my customers just call me 'Mrs Mutley'  :mwaha:
Cant wait to see how your new venture goes  Smiley

Thank you to everyone for such a nice welcome. I have been away for the weekend in my motor home (I am secretary & rally officer for the motorcaravanners' club) so have only just read all the messages.

Ey up chicken Lady!! Welcome to the forum. I also have chickens. I do love them but they have stopped laying eggs and I am somewhat moody with them. Smiley. Perhaps I should try marmite as well then, I know they love Cheerios and always get my lil' ones dregs from breakfast. How many eggs do you get per day? I can assure you it's more than mine are prepared to give me!!
I hope you love it on here like I do. I have learned so much. Good luck with the assessments hun. xx

I used to get 1 egg a day from each of my girls (I have 13 now), but since their moult in September my older ones, who are 2 yrs old now don't not always lay. I am getting about 8-10 eggs a day. My grand daughter sells them for pocket money.

Hello Chicken
Hrmmmm, first of all welcome to the nut house. Corrie lies dreadfully and don't ever believe a word she says.
I am an angel and I live on a farm. I would love to keep chickens and might pick your brains about keeping a couple.

I too have a grandaughter 3 going on 13. Just like her mother was  :mwaha:
