Hi, I'm a new soapmaker (cp) from the Isle of Arran (just off the Scottish Mainland). I used to be a primary school teacher but have now started making soap and other stuff and selling it round craft fairs/ farmers markets etc. I'm really enjoying it but I'm still a little unsure of myself technical wise. I'm hoping this forum will reassure me and give me somewhere to bounce ideas (my family are fed up with me going on and on about soap!!)  You all seem a lovely bunch - so I'm very happy to be here.

Hello, another one to add to the Scottish contigent  Grin (EJ always says there are tonnes of Scottish soapmakers)
Good to have you here, I'm up by Loch Lomond but there are a couple of members even closer to you. Arran is such a lovely island....but tell me how do you compete with the mighty AA?

Hello Farmerwife,

It sounds lovely in your part of the country  :buttrf:  I am sure you will really enjoy it here and it's so nice to share experiences and soapy talk with others that have the same interests as yourself isn't it  Smiley :buttrf: :buttrf:
