 Roll Eyes

Hi I'm Kathie ,

I'm currently on Maternity leave and have 2 wonderful children , a little lad aged 3 going on 13 and a lil gal aged 12 weeks  WooHoo! Oh yeh and a hubby of 14 years Smiley

Whilst I'm on Mat leave Ive been seriously thinking about making my own soaps and selling them . Mainly because I work in the public sector and I have been redeployed twice in three years whilst on Mat leave both times. Ive looked into it all and through various research and product chasing Ive been steered towards this forum by Corrie.

Im really eager to get set up before the end of my mat leave , certified and selling. Mainly so I can seriously consider leaving work if hits off then I can leave work and spend some quality time with the kids . If not all my family will have soap for Christmas :mwaha:

Any help or advise will be really appreciated

Kathie  Kiss

Hi Kathie & welcome!  Congrats on the baby, but I don't know how you have time to consider soaping with 2 littlies to look after - you must be superwoman! (Or have them both very well trained, to sleep long enough to knock up a batch of soap while they're out for the count!)  How long you on maternity leave for?

I think a few out there make a living from soaping, so it can be done, but not many.  I think it is the dream for many of us!

If you have any pics of your creations so far, please share!   Grin

TBH just selling a bit for a little extra pocket money would be great. Grin

Hello and welcome. Congratulations on the new baby. As for advice, have a poke around and ask lots of questions, and most of all have fun.

Hi Kathie, I'm glad you decided to join us....now you're in the club you can never leave  :mwaha:
I think it's admirable that you want to "go it alone" and set up your own business, it is a lot of work, not for the feint hearted, but if you wanna do it this is a great place to start!
Welcome :buttrf:
