Sam! welcome to the forum - any questions, just ask - this was my first forum, too  Smiley oh, and with the CP first attempt - if you got the recipe from a book, that could be why it didn't work out. the recipes in books are not always (never?  :mwaha:) very reliable. so, no worries, we'll help you along.

Hello Sam, I'm new as well but this is a great site with lots of lovely people willing to encourage you and give sound advice.   Maybe if you were to say exactly what you weren't happy with, someone could give you a few tips.

Wishing you lots of fun, and yes, it is totally addictive Grin

thank you, everyone is very welcoming. More about the herbs when I do my final exam, sometime in the next few weeks. In the meantime I'm on the look out for a nice and not too complicated recipe for cp soap. Can anyone help please? The book I have is a little complicated for a novice like me.

Hello and welcome.

Besides pics, you could share your knowledge of herbs!  Grin

Easiest CP recipes would be with any soft oil (I love olive oil), coconut and palm oils.

Work out your recipe in soapcalc:

and post some pics later!
