ah thanks for the welcome. to answer some of the questions i have made two batches of soy wax tarts so far. my first batch turned out perfect, though i only used 6% FO and so the scent was not as strong as i tend to like it.

I have made a second batch with a different scent and used 11% (i know it's a little bit too much however there was no point leaving 2 ml in the bottle as it was a designer type FO), anyhow the second batch appear to have a white bloom which from reading I am not sure it is caused by anything in particular, or is avoidable unless I do a soy/parrafin blend?

Hi Curly,
I'm new here too, I spend soooo much time reading topics & learning a whole lot more than I did before.

The bloom on your melts could well be due to the higher amount of F.O in them, soy can be very temperamental, especially when the weather is cold, you could try melting them down gently & repouring see if that makes any difference.
