Hi Helen.  Thanks for the standards.  Most, if not all is pretty much commonsense - you know, don't put it on a slope, keep away from anything flammable!  Still with the "safety elf" on various warpaths, it pays to be careful, and it is always good to have the information.

That's what John told me.  He said that most of the first lot of standards would almost always be met (or you wouldn't have a workable candle) but it is good to have something to refer to anyway - especially regarding labellig

I've just seen this, so helpful to know thank you so much!
I do safety test all my candles of course but it's good to know the actual standards I have to meet too.

JoJo a batik factory sounds wonderful - batik was my very favourite thing in art at school, I actually have some batik wax, dye and brush somewhere, but I wouldn't have a clue how to do it now!

It's something I'll remember all my life PS.  To see it being made the original way (and back then the only way) was incredible.  I'd love to be able to do something like that.

Batiks are my fave fabrics to work with. I have just washed and ir*ned a whole stack of them. I might make something or I might just stroke them.
