Not far from you, in Dublin (hanging onto the edge admittedly, almost Wicklow way).  Do you do markets or have an online store or something? (Yes, I'm VERY nosey  :mwaha: )

Bray?

I do/did some markets, some of the organisers are good, some others Strop.
I think the markets are fading fast this year.
I spend most of my time on the road for wholesale accounts, lovely cold calling.

Hi all and thanks for the welcome.
Monday was good here, yesterday we had dreadfully bad weather, frost this morn, nicer out now though.

Wouldn't fancy the cold calling bit - what are you marketing?

Handmade candles, soap and incense. All classed as luxury goods, so a bit of hard selling involved. I don't make them myself, I act as a distributor. Means that I can work flexi hours, important as I have 4 kids.

Don't think I'd fancy that - do you get set targets etc.?

Mind you - good way of building up contacts for selling your own stuff.

Definetly a good way for when I have SA done on my own stuff. I don't have targets to meet. The company involved does put pressure on from time to time, I just tell them to take a look at the Irish economy, if they feel they could get someone to take on a new distribution in this chaos, go ahead. Also, i think it would take some time for someone else to get my sjipping rates, I bargained long and hard for those.
