Just wanted to say Hi and introduce my self, have been looking round forum for a few hours now and keep finding things to inspire me, have made few bath bombs, salts and soaps and can't wait for my next lot of supplies to arrive for bath melts, would love to expand to be able to sell at craft fairs, well maybe one day seem to have so many things to do at weekends would love to win lottery and retire, then could devide all my days between knitting, cake making, gardening, soapmaking, fishing, shooting and archery.

Hi Babs,

Lovely to meet you.  Sounds like you have lots and lots of creative interests.  I can imagine it is very frustrating not to be able to spend the time that you would like doing them.

I hope you enjoy it here.  The more you post, the more boards will open up to you.

A very warm welcome from me!!   Smiley

Thanks for the welcome every one, have learnt a lot just but reading comments and have been inspired to try more things by looking at great pics of things you all have made, hope I can create things like it soon, dream of having small business one day doing soap and things my husband wants to make and sell garden gnomes as a side line, we have a small army of gnomes and ducks living cupboard under stairs and lots living in the garden already, would appreciate any tips on how to go about getting certified to sell soap, it it right I have to send it to a chemist to get the ingredients checked? if so how does one go about finding them? All ideas gratefully received.

You'll need to move quickly to get your soaps certified (Regs due to be "Rationalised" which will make it expensive)

There's a phone number for Sarah Janes (who facilitates SA/certification) in this thread
