I just bought some new fragrance oils (because I am a bad person who can not be trusted with a bank account). Now I have no room to store them all. I therefore decided to get rid of a few of them. This will not solve the problem at all, but it will make it ever so slightly better...

I would like to swap these for something, or just give them away. Unless you have something really special, though (which you may not want to swap for these), as I think that I might just be OK for soap at the moment. If someone had some kaolin going spare, that would be appreciated rather a lot!

Anyway, the fragrance oils I have going spare are all SP ones. They are:
  • Vanilla (25ml, unused - I got two of this). I actually call this one "not vanilla". It is a pleasant enough fragrance (boyfriend described it as shredder oil or marshmallows, and said that it was good).
  • Clean cotton (50ml, about 5ml gone). This really is lovely. It is a bit weird, though, insofar as it smells as though one is washing one's hands with washing powder. Nice washing powder, though. If I didn't have that association from too much handwashing, I would make more soap with this.
  • Honeycomb (50ml, about 5ml gone). This is OK. Smells a bit like honeycomb, I suppose.
  • Vanilla Dreams (50ml, about 5ml gone). Can't remember what this one is like. Maybe I didn't use it, after all; perhaps it is actually full, but does not reach the top of the bottle?
  • Cinnamon, nutmeg and honey (50ml, perhaps 7ml gone). This smells very familiar, but I had a bad experience with a candle that smelled strangely familiar (the wax went everywhere, and it took ages for the smell to go away). I think that it is nice enough, though.

So, anyone interested? With these descriptions, how could anyone fail to be interested?  :mwaha:

Hello

can I swap you for the cotton one in return for ummm soap ?

I am dying to make more soap right now, but my CC is maxed out and I can't find a shop near me which sells FO on the shelf (I have cash, just nothing on the CC to order online).

I can send you some finished soap in return ?

Cheers

I'm not sure I am allowed to swap it for soap - I've had another look, and the amount I need to use is ridiculous, and I don't seem to be able to stop making it! I have new batches planned this weekend, as well. Maybe I ought to swap some soap ends for something...

Perhaps I could just send it to you without a swap? Would that be OK? If so, PM me your address. I'll probably be able to send it to you on Monday, as there are a couple of other things I need to send, too; I can have an exciting trip to the Post Office! Woo hoo!

Perhaps I ought to enclose a soap free with every fragrance oil.  :mwaha:

Anyway, this means that the cinnamon and nutmeg and the clean cotton FOs are gone - the vanilla, vanilla dreams and honeycomb fragrances remain...

The swap that would please me the most is if you would let me send all three of them your way. I am about to move house (another month to go) and will get into trouble if I don't get rid of a lot of stuff very soon! (I think that I have until Saturday evening before he starts to complain, though!)

Would that work for you? It's a weird swap, I suppose, but it would work for me! If that's OK, send me a PM with your address. I can probably get them sent off in the next few days.

Well, I want them to go to a good home! And I also want them out of my house! The more I give away, the better for me.

Abi...I am intrigued......just how many FO's did you buy if you no longer have room to store them all. I have visions of you up to your neck in the stuff, lol.

I only have a small box for my FOs. I love all of the other ones enough not to get rid of them (I reckon that I will use them all), but these ones leave me a bit lukewarm. I must get rid of my honey powder, too - smells weird in soap (smells good, but reminds me of the Honey Croap Incident - I do NOT want to be reminded of that).

I actually have a cupboard full of oils/additives/fragrances, with one free drawer currently devoted to wool for felting. Really, this will make no difference at all, but if they will be used rather than making me feel guilty that can only be a good thing. I probably have about 15 different FOs left, in varying quantities, and I shall not be buying any more for a long time. I hope. (Please, God, give me the self-control not to buy any more!)  :mwaha:
