Hehe thanks all!

I spent most of Sunday afternoon reading through the soapy bits of the forum - now feeling slightly nervous about attempting to make soap!

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome.   Group hug

Ooh - the first soap! How exciting!

Do let us know your recipe in advance so we can look at it with experience and tell you it's wonderful (my first one was not - had to change my oils round at the last minute!). And try making HP first if you want to use a fragrance - they are much easier to make (my recent CP experiments have been dire), and they can be used straight away when they set (although they are best left for a month to harden - you can just use one and leave the rest to dry!).

There is a HP tutorial on the site (which you can print off and use as your bible for the first few goes), and there are plenty of people to give you helpful hints (such as using old fruit juice cartons with square bases as moulds - really easy to remove at the end as you just peel them off and throw them away).

And we can't wait to see photos, too!

Thanks Abi, I did think of sharing the recipe I'm planning to use, so more experienced soapers could tell me if it's a good one or not!

I will start a new thread in a more appropriate place, since this is just the Intro board.
