Hi , I tried to post yesterday and failed...I've never done this before! Briefly I have been interested in making stuff for personal and family use for a little while, ( shampoo, soft soap,moisturisers...anything to avoid using load of chemicals ) I've been winging it so far but then I came across this wonderful site, there's so much to read and soooo little time!

I now have a bag of ingredients from The SK, an official recipe to follow to make proper soap...I just need the courage to take the plunge...I'll just read a few more topics...procrastinating again!

Hello Pooh,

You should find the answers to your questions here - or in Resources (up on the green navigation bar) and when you made a few more posts there'll be more boards and resources available to you.

Best thing to do is ask questions - people will either answer or point you to an earlier topic with the answers (nobody's compiled a FAQ yet - to busy making soaps, lotions and potions - or just playing about!).

Hello and welcome Pooh!
This is a great place to find advice on soap making.  Of course, once you start making your own soap there's no going back Grin
