I was invited to a London Street market a while ago. Venn Street Market in Clapham, London. It's my first time to do a proper Farmer's Market and my first time doing a 2-day event. I assumed it is more like one of the smaller street markets in London, but I have just found some info online and I think this may be rather large...

At the bottom is a pic from someone's blog and here is some more info:

Do I need to take loads of stuff? Stalls will be provided, parking is free in the area. How warm do I have to dress? If everything goes well, I would like to become a regular at this market, but due to shift work, I cannot make it every time. Would anyone in London be interested to share with me? Kind of like there will be a soap stall at this spot every month, but alternate soap sellers? As longs as they keep it monthly, I would only need one other person to share with (alternate months), but they are thinking about going weekly, which would mean I would need possibly more than one person, or maybe not, depending on other people's commitment. My shift rota means I work 4 weekends in a row, then have 4 weekends off, but some are split (I work one day).

Hi MP, let me know how it goes and if you find someone to share.

You might have noticed from my other posts I'm not keen in doing fairs and markets - especially at this time of the year, it's so cold!...

I'll be doing one only in DEC, giving it a chance, but not sure I want to do something like this on a more regular basis and have  the commitment. Also, Clapham is not the easiest for me to get to (I'm in Chiswick).

Good luck though, I think you should definitely go for it!

Its a bit far from me but I might do it in an emergency to help out if it was ever needed ...

Hi MP,

You seem such a professional...I would be interested as it is easy for me to get to, but I have only done a few stalls and products are along the lines of herbal products not cosmetic...pm me and we could discuss this further. :buttrf:

Looks great. I wish we had something like that round here.
