Title: Wood Wool
Post by: kevie192 on August 14, 2009, 10:37:51 PM
Hi everyone,

Just looking for some wood wool to try out some packaging ideas and everywhere I can see online only do huge amounts. Does anyone have some they would like to sell to me?

Thanks,

Kevin x

Terry Andrews has medium cut by the kilo (http://www.bagnboxman.co.uk/acatalog/wood-wool.html).

The Winebox has 5kg packs (http://www.winebox.co.uk/Wood-Wool-Kiln-Dried-5kg-Tolerance-250g?sc=2&category=5773)

I've seen it elswhere to buy online but can't think offhand - the place on the Welsh border says it does superfine in small packs - but you'd have to phone or write.

An alternative is Sisal (http://www.agm-wholesale.co.uk/shop/index.php/packaging-presentation/sisal/standard-sisal) - finer and lighter.

Don't they sell this at Petsmart for Chinchillas ?

I know I used to buy it for my Hamsters but it was years ago. If you have one near you, you could pop in and have a look. I used to buy it in 0.5kg bags.
