Post by: retropants on February 20, 2011, 06:34:10 PM
having a complete 'mare finding anything suitable outside of the US. Does anyone have any secret info they wouldn't mind sharing?

atm, I use little ikea glass tealight jars to make small candles in. I want to make bigger ones in jars which have a push on lid/plastic or rubber seal.

The website has been down since christmas as I think they have moved premisis and they only came back online last Tuesday that may be why they were not showing up on your search retro. :)

Some really nice jars on that site Vanilla.

(now wondering how I could justify buying some and what I could put in them - am resolutely saying away from candle making)

I bought the vibe jars from Mister Chips this time last year when I was doing candles. The vibes ones are lovely, and I like the stoic ones but they are a bit pricey and when you add in the cost of the EOs and wax, and the limit to what you can charge at craft fairs, I felt it wasn;t worth it just now.

I bought a lovely candle at a fair (they were wholesale bought ones) for £7.00. Using the same jar, it cos me not much less that £6.00 raw ingreds. There are a lot of candles at fairs I do, and I would be lucky of anyone paid more than £7.00 for one (though they will buy the yankee ones from the stallholder)
