Yes, and no!  They are the right sort of shape, but too big.

What size are you wanting?

I want to put bath salts in them, but also bath oils.  I think that the smallest of these jars was half a kilo, which is a bit big for both.  The bath salts would probably go into 250g jars.  I have found plain jars, but just wanted something a little nicer.

The first url (Colorlites) has 250ml at the top of the list.

These jars wouldn't hold oil safely though, even though the lids are airtight - you really need something with a screwtop and seal.

Oooooooooh Suzanne, you are fast becoming our in-house bottle sourcer.  I've never heard of that company, I would imagine the minimum order may be more than you need but it would be interesting to know the prices.

I finally got around to getting some prices from French Flint.  They have not been very clear about the minimum order and it seems that you may have to buy 54 (don't understand why) or 100 bottles at a time.  However, examples of prices as follows: S8CMB £45.96 for 100, S16CMB £30.83 for 54, S16SNB £30.83 for 54, ST50B £51.24 for 50 and ST100B £55.69 for 40. Caps and corks are seperate .  For some reason they quote the price per 1000 but then give a pack size.

No, not yet.  The French Flint bottles are lovely shapes which is what attracted me, but I probably don't need that many in the first instance.

You can ask French Flint for 'samples'...  Then chase them up when they don't get around to them...lol  They have a specific page for samples and one bottle/jar plus top = 2 samples...

Other than that - whenever I've used them before you have to order by the case...  And the associated caps etc separately...  All plus VAT...

Check their shipping costs if you are going to purchase from them - they start at £19.00 plus VAT which makes a substantial difference on the unit costs...

Might be worth checking out Naturally Thinking...  They have similar bottles on their site called 'jam jars' (in their jar section NOT bottle section) which are actually tall glass bottles with tapered shoulders like the old farm milk bottles used to be like (showing my age here! lol)...  Complete with aluminium screw top caps...  But you can buy one or two of each size to test first before buying by the case...

if you are still looking for jars, GF.com has just added some 100ml PET jars and 125ml cosmetic jars to their range. Very reasonable prices and any quantity from 1 upwards. I just ordered a bunch from there.

Alternatively, there is a great list for all sorts of suppliers on the net, Captain Ethel's list - http://freespace.virgin.net/michele.jack/index.html - the list is done by web searcher extraordinaire Michele Jack, I don't know how she does it, but she seems to have the magic touch when it comes to sourcing stuff. If this site has already been mentioned on this forum, apologies! Havent had the chance to read everything on here yet
