Title: Hi from Lyn
Post by: Lynnz on June 17, 2010, 02:50:41 AM
Hi so happy to have forund Fresholi  :) I am Lyn and I come from Brisbane Australia. I am a Mum of two, work fulltime as an RN and am very passionate about Soaping and Candlemaking. I have made candles for something like 14yrs now and just love how far we have come from the Paraffin only days!!!! Needless to say I still love pillars and votives done in Paraffin wax today. Soaping is something I ventured into about three years ago and I am obcessed with it!!!!!1 If I could I would soap full time but Morgage growing kids and everyday stuff does not allow for that just yet!!!!!. I have this vision of myself retired and scooting around the country in my combi selling wares  :) hopefully with friends coming along for the ride!!! For now I am just working on the hope of one day having a crafting space!!!! It's a kitchen job at this point.
I hope to get know others................Did the big OE when younger and Nursed in London for three years............Loved the time I had and have many cheerished memories.......................Lyn

Hi Lynnz, welcome  :buttrf:

To soap full time is my dream too, but like you say - mortgage, kids (though I've only got 1) ... Soaping is definetly an obsession. I love it.

We love love love photos here, so looking forward to seeing what yo've been making  :)

Hi Lynnz,

A big warm welcome from me.  What a lovely intro and I am sure many would relate to your dream of turning an obsession into a full time thing and to the hurdles that are put in the way.

You sound like you have had some really rewarding travels and you do such an incredibly admirable job and what a wonderful way to combine your job and travels.

There are many here that are either from your part of the globe (either currently or originally) as well as those who have ties to people that are.

I do hope you enjoy being part of the community and I can't wait to see some of your craftwork  ;D

Good to have you here  :buttrf:

This is the first time I have used Lemon Verbena, the soap is now four weeks old and holding the fragrance really well. It will be interesting to see how it goes with time. I will report back on this one. I love citrus scents but find it hard to find them with a flashpoint over 200. This is beautiful, definately lemon but softened slightly with what may possibly be a floral background I think.

Thanks Lynn  ()

I'm going to get some from heirloom then .. I'll be using it in a blend as I'm trying to create my own version of Daystars Invigoration - a favourite that behaves terribly in the pot  ;)
