Title: Hello Post by: Denise on May 19, 2010, 10:58:54 AM Just wanted to stop by and say hello before I spend hours browsing through all the interesting posts! I'm Lilli and I live in Accrington, a small town in Lancashire in the north-west.
I've been crafting all my life - I've done cross-stitch and scrapbooking but my favourites are knitting, crocheting and making jewellery. Recently I received some handmade soap and hand cream as a gift. I loved it! I did some research, loaaads of reading and that's it....I'm hooked ;D Looking forward to 'meeting' and sharing ideas with you all........ Lilli :buttrf: Title: Re: Hello Post by: Iulia on May 19, 2010, 11:15:15 AM Hi and welcome

We have never managed to get a FAQ together so if you can't find out what you want to know in the oodles of topics and resources (there's such a lot it's not always easy to find what you want) just give a shout. Title: Re: Hello Post by: Suzanne on May 19, 2010, 12:12:11 PM Hi Lilli
I am not far away either - Liverpool. Welcome to the boards. Title: Re: Hello Post by: Denise on May 19, 2010, 12:49:53 PM Thanks for the lovely warm welcome :)
ElaineJ - Thank you, no doubt I'll be shouting for help loud and often! Eire - I will get some pics up soon, promise! When will I be soaping? Well.... I've got a dissertation due in on Friday (which I'll finish tomorrow if I can tear myself away from here - last minute Lilli, that's me!), two exams next week, one final exam on the 7th of June, a week's holiday in Turkey on the 15th June, then I'll be free to soap all summer. Yayyyyyyyyyy ;D Title: Re: Hello Post by: lynne on May 19, 2010, 02:00:49 PM Hello Lillie - welcome.

I was born round the corner from you in Burnley :) Me too! literally, Edith watson unit at burnley general :mwaha: Oo, I'm a Burnley girl too! I must be a lot older than you though as I was born at Bank Hall Maternity Hospital, on Colne Road. I'm not sure but I think it may be a Care Home now. 'Tis a small world..... Title: Re: Hello Post by: Denise on May 19, 2010, 03:44:21 PM Hi Lilli, welcome. You'll love it here, Being nosey, what are you studying? I'm coming to the end of a BA Joint Hons English and Sociology. I've been offered a place at Lancaster on the MA in Social Work next year and I'm waiting for an interview for a place at Blackburn on the PGCE in the Lifelong Learning Sector. I don't know which I want to do yet. To be honest, I'm really fed up of studying now (and working nights every weekend to help fund it). I want to be a housewife and cook and clean and craft every day :) Title: Re: Hello Post by: Scott on May 19, 2010, 04:05:05 PM Hello and a very warm welcome!
Title: Re: Hello Post by: polly on May 19, 2010, 04:06:36 PM Well done on getting a placement and good luck with your studies. I'd love to be a housewife and craft all day (and pay someone else to clean and cook :D)
Title: Re: Hello Post by: nakedtruthbeauty on May 19, 2010, 04:37:03 PM Welcome aboard, I'll join the queue to craft all day!
Title: Re: Hello Post by: Honey on May 19, 2010, 06:28:19 PM Welcome!!! Hope you enjoy it here... do I know you from Twitter by any chance? Your ID name is soooo familiar to me but I just can't place it.
As said (and I'm apparentely the unofficial "photo" obsessive) we love pics so whenever you've made anything, you must show us... we like the cute ones and the ugly ones too. The more you post the more boards will open up for you ... and you'll find that you think you've read everything and then realise there's a ton more! Welcome aboard... I am NOT from Burnley as it happens :mwaha: Title: Re: Hello Post by: EJ on May 19, 2010, 06:48:50 PM Quote do I know you from Twitter by any chance? I recognise the name from Folksy (I think).
