I've been toying with an idea but would like some of the member's opinions.

How about a section dedicated to showcasing some of your creations.  You know with pictures and an 'about me'?  Like a directory but with a little more heart & soul.  Then have a link to either your website or email or other means that a customer could contact you?  This would serve two purposes; 1, It is a good source of inspiration for other members & 2, Is a platform for wider exposure (particularly as the site grows).  Haven't thought too deeply about the logistics of this but I just wanted to put the feelers out.

I think this is a great idea I would love to be able to put up some pictures of some of my latest creations (or latest disasters lol). Pity we can't have smells as well as picutres though haha

Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could do that with the wonderful aromas?

I thought it would be a really good way of promoting the individual as well as the MIY sector as a whole.  You could then put a link on your emails or leaflets so that you can present your work at a distance.  Would be nice if it could be updated as a when too.  Just a thought but if you or anyone else would like to send something to me, I'll see what I can do about getting on on the site.  No promises as yet but as you know, I will do my very best (and its in my head now so I usually pull out all the stops to achieve it if I can).   ;)

I've got a batch of 'problem skin' soap that should be ready soon, it's white with subtle green swirly bits on top. I'll take a couple of pics and email them to you when I get a chance.

That would be fantastic!  And if you give a bit of a low down on yourself or the soaps you made, you know anything that promotes you, it would be brilliant.  It doesn't have to be long but it needs to promote you and lets see what we can do...  A new project for me!   :D
