Just wanted to say how pleased I am to have found this lovely forum. I'm in Edinburgh and I've only been making soap since August this year, so I'm still a beginner with lots to learn. My first batch was HP and was the most ugly soap ( think I overcooked it, had to mash it into the mould) but such a delight to use. I decided to try CP for a smoother texture and haven't looked back since. For me making soap is an escape from my hectic day job, it's so nice being able to create something lovely I can enjoy using every day. :) So far I've only made soap but who knows, maybe now I'm here it'll encourage me to try bath bombs or lotion for myself. A very warm welcome where you may be inspired to do som spotty poohs, croap and even try your hand at a bit of pongy slurry ;) I have certainy been more than inspired by the wealth of talents, experiences and ideas from everyone who contributes. I made my first soaps a few weeks ago and yes, it certainly is an escape alright. It's a lovely friendly forum and there are lots of tutorials and information resources which Helen has collected. I make MP and stuff to put in the bath but haven't tried HP, CP or lotions and potions (make ather things not connect with bath and toiletries also). Enjoy yourself here. Paloma is just an online name I once picked in a hurry for another forum when the name I chose originally was already taken, it actually came from a pack of paper tissues on my desk at the time lol.
