I live in Scotland too and I searched Google but got nothing! The nearest I could get was in Huddersfield, so Hubby and I are making a weekend of it. That's not to say that there are no courses in Scotland, I probably didnt do the best search in the world.

Does the swedish gentleman not do courses in Forres?
Or you could come and see me  ;) I'm not a trained teacher but I've made the odd batch of soap  :mwaha:

Ha ha! My grandma was Scottish and we honeymooned in Scotland, holds no fear for me! Infact we spent some time on Skye. Aren't you on one of the islands Wino?

Thanks Corrie, though it's proably best to warn you in advance that I am terrified of dogs! (i saw your piccys) If this would be a problem, I'll decline as I'd be worried all day that they would jump up and eat me (no kidding. Old dogs that barely move I'm fine with, jumpy up ones - not so)

NTB - I'm in the Outer Hebrides but originally from the south coast of England.  Skye's lovely, only a view out the window now on the road to Glasgow.

Polly - The only thing you would need to worry about would be the contents of your handbag!!!!  They'd be scattered all over the floor and dragged about the house other than that you'd be safe...

Polly, they are jumpy (well the wee one is) but they can be put in the livingroom out of the way. Yes Ruisg does have a wee thing about handbags  :mwaha:

:mwaha:n I know, it's totally irrational but dogs seem to know when someone is scared of them. My brother had 2 dogs and I never went round - it was a JUMPY dog.

Corrie - can't think of anyone better to do this - especially in Scotland where there seems to be a lack of training for soapers - Lomond Soap School?

You people!
Well, if things go to plan I might have a workshop across the road from my house, that's to say I have asked the owner of the old telephone exchange if he will rent it to me for a ridiculously small fee  ;) If you don't ask you don't get!

I think I would be scared of someone who keeps 16 cats/dogs !!!  :o

I used to think people are weird to be scared of cats, after all, what is a little ball of fluff gonna do - and then I got my current cat. I swear, if he was a dog, he'd be put down under the dangerous dog act. He really doesn't like strangers, especially male ones and will attack them. He is now snipped, which has calmed him down somewhat, but he still has moments where he is nothing but claws and teeth. I am hoping that if we ever do get burgled he may give them some grief, but with my luck it will be the time of night where he curls up under the duvet with me and even the house falling down wouldn't wake him up.  :mwaha:

I closed all the zips on my canvas Troop bag and he nosed it all round the floor for ages, had a great time and didn't damage it or dribble on it ata all.
