Title: Today's Fair.... Post by: nakedtruthbeauty on November 19, 2009, 08:11:02 PM ......went really well. It was a school fete at the local private school. It was a pants venue, all on different levels, rubbish lighting and loads of kids blocking walkways. I was on a wide step, so there was only a couple of feet walkway infront of my stall, and the woman from the stall infront kept standing behind her stall, so filling my tiny walkway. Plus lots of really snooty mums, chanel was the order of the day and I'm not just talking perfume! I only had 8 customers all afternoon, so it really dragged too. So how is this good? Well those that bought did so big style. So I had really good takings but I really feel like I worked for it.
Couple of weeks now until next fair, so time to catch up on some much needed paperwork. Fun! Title: Re: Today's Fair.... Post by: corrie on November 19, 2009, 08:19:21 PM Well done NTB. Some people need a lot of info, you can't always put on your labels/info on your table. It's funny how different venues have different requirements. Good for you though! Bet some of them become repeat customers coz you put in the effort to inform them.

Title: Re: Today's Fair.... Post by: Joy on November 19, 2009, 08:55:43 PM Well done you. I have a small fair tomorrow. The table is only £5 plus a raffle prize. Good job I can do M&P as well as CP.
Title: Re: Today's Fair.... Post by: Honey on November 19, 2009, 10:56:45 PM Congrats!!! I still haven't gotten up the guts to do any fairs and I'm not even going to think about til the summer! The thought make me goes pale so I'm totally of awe of those of you who have no worries about it at all (or seemingly so anyway!)
Title: Re: Today's Fair.... Post by: andykim on November 20, 2009, 03:05:45 PM I have done several fairs which were all a bit slow to start. Only a few buyers but they purchased gift sets so not so bad.
People are just waiting until the last minuet I think because they know the shops will all have sales |
