Title: Greetings :)
Post by: Sleepingdragon10 on September 27, 2009, 06:08:42 PM
Hi guys :)  i'm not very good at introductions so I guess i'll start with the basics! My name is Beth, i'm 34 and have 2 children...a daughter aged 13, and a 5 year old son. I've been making soap for about a year now, and am utterly addicted ;). I also love making, and learning about bath and body products using natural  ingredients only if at all possible. I have a laymans interest in aromatherapy which developed after i had my son and was diagnosed with PND. It's been a long, bumpy road and i've still not reached the end of it, but i try to keep myself busy researching possible formulations for various things, and obviously making soap! My other loves are art(mainly painting fantasy in watercolour) and my beautiful pony, Lukey. I've had him since he was 11 months old...he's now 3 1/2 and we've just backed him, something else to keep me busy :) i've been lurking here awhile so decided to be brave and join lol. Take care, Beth x   :buttrf:

Hi Beth, glad you delurked, there's a wealth of info here and lots of folks to help you along the way.
Hope you don't mind me asking, what is PND?
Looking forward to seeing you around  :D

Welcome! I also enjoy fantasy art but looking not doing! Envious of your horse (always wanted one, too late now). This is a super, helpful forum, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Hi Beth, Welcome  :) I've a similar interest in aromatherapy. I sympathise with the PND - that sort of thing can take a while to resolve.

Thanks guys for the welcome :) Wolfhound, Lukey is my first pony...he's a new forest and cost me the princely sum of £190 as a foal-ofcourse to me, he is now priceless :) Paul, yes, the PND is a real pain...thought i was over the worst but had a relapse about a month ago :( It does feel like a battle alot of the time, but for me i've found that keeping busy is a very effective weapon against it. :)

He looks like he moves well! Backing and schooling him yourself must be very exciting and challenging! I love to see youngsters come on. One of my loan horses had only been backed 10 weeks when I got her and I had the time of my life schooling her. I hope it all goes good for you both.  :jealous:  :)

Thank you :) it's been an amazing journey...made all the more enjoyable by the fact that he's been so easy to work with. I'm quietly excited by how well he's going. He doesn't have the typical short pony strides...he almost has a thoroughbred walk, and for a youngster his canter is very well balanced. He certainly keeps me busy x

Hi Beth,

Hope you enjoy this forum.

Lovely pony.  I used to have a 17.3 hand irish thoroughbred (ex-race horse).  He was a superb ride.  Miss him dearly  :-[

bye 4 now,

Lulu

Hi Beth.

Welcome.  What a lovely pony. Want to swap for the cat that is biting my ankles?  I am sure that you will have lots of fun on here.

Lulu, he sounds lovely :)  Suzanne, unfortunately i already have a she-devil cat, plus an oldie that she-devil persecutes...because she can! Mindyou, after Luke's performance yesterday, he may well be free to any home very soon, silly boy!

Hi Beth and welcome.
PND, yip, I got the book and the T-shirt, it is NOT nice.  Soap making is a wonderful remedy though, keeps u sniffing the lovely aromas, and making your own body care has a definite feel good factor about it.  I have a 16 y.o and a 6 y.o, makes for good babysitters with a big age gap!
