Title: Half way there...
Post by: corrie on July 17, 2009, 08:37:42 PM
Yep, I got my table up in the living room again  ::)
One half skincare/bath products the other half soap, still got a bit to do but here is the finished half (minus table cloth)
It's the Loch Lomond Highland Games tomorrow, wish me luck  ;)

Definitely looking good Corrie - I like the flowers (might pinch that idea for my Ladies Night table).

Thanks ladies, only 3 more lots of soap to box and I'm done!
Why is it always a last minute rush  ??? I've known about this since Xmas  :mwaha:

Your event would have been today, I hope it went well.  Your display looks really inviting, not too busy & just so bloody slick looking.  Hope the games were fun too.

Today was good (not great, just good). It's funny that at different fairs different thing sell. Today was the balm day. I was chuffed that people like them and there's certainly a lot more scope there to increase the offering. Best seller by a country mile...horsetail balm!
Also seem to have got myself fixed up to do a stall at the Lomond Folk festival next Sat, a lady asked me if I would, she thought my stuff would go down well, and I have Luss gathering on Sunday (for all you Take the High Road fans  ;))
So a busy week ahead trying to catch up on myself.
Will post a couple of pics later.

Pics!
Table & Mass pipe bands at the end of the games. Probably 12 troops of pipers all playing together...........makes me proud to be a Scot  :D Loads of tourists about today. I met an American couple late on today who just happened to be in the area and this was their first experience of a HG, they were on their way back to the hotel but asked why all the bands were practising.
When I told them at the end all the bands play together they decided to stay and I caught up with them, they loved it ;D

I'd have loved to have been there to hear the pipes!

Glad it was a "good" day for you - even if not "great".

Just Saturday, I've been like a woman possessed cleaning the house. I'm absolutely shattered now...been in cupboards, thrown stuff out, all the kitchen cupboards are clean, tiles in the bathroom...phew!

Glad it went well Corrie, and same as previous comments, your wares always look so good!! I just keep wishing that you were doing something closer to me and then I would come and buy a bar of the bog myrtle soap! Are you doing the Black Isle show?

I am glad it was a good day. Your stall looks amazing, really professional but approachable and 'real' at the same time. Great balance. I saw a tag line recently that said it best 'small enough to care, big enough to cope' or something like that!

Thanks girls, as you know I do love my packaging and I think it helps if your stall looks appealing and coherent. I could do with selling a bit more on my fair days, suppose it will come  :-\
Viv, the Black Isle show is a bit far north for me, concentrating on my local area, but who knows, maybe next year!

coherent
yes definitely a good word to describe it. Is it purposefully coherent then, ie you make a conscious effort to attain coherency?

corrie the selling would come.  you can blame H for still not installing that super software that can transmit live reactions, i just opened this thread at a resort we are at now, i have been growing grumpy for not having internet access for a few days and Mr F exclaimed that  your table and packaging is great, he has amassed some experience being my unofficial assistance in the last few months with label designs and packaging etc, so he is so impressed and everyone is saying how nice the table is and i was just talking about the stuff i make.  :mwaha:
