Title: Gold ear rings Post by: Totoally Baffled! on May 04, 2009, 01:30:49 PM Hi Guys,
not sure if this is in the right place but doesn anyone make gold ear rings and necklaces? it appears that most people make gold plated and i'm allergic to that now. Thanks Title: Re: Gold ear rings Post by: EJ on May 04, 2009, 01:34:53 PM I've not seen anyone mention gold/silversmithing as one of their crafts - but you never know.
Perhaps one of the members knows of a goldsmith. Title: Re: Gold ear rings Post by: Michelle on May 04, 2009, 02:35:12 PM Kevin makes jewellery dont know if he does Gold though may be worth asking.

I do indeed make jewellery and although I don't do gold jewellery I can do gold-filled which is like gold plated except with about 10 times the thickness of gold on the outside which may help to overcome your allergies. If you let me know exactly what kind of thing you're looking for, I could perhaps make you a pair of earrings in gold fill for you to buy and try to see if you get on with them ok. Feel free to PM me if you'd like :D Kevin x Title: Re: Gold ear rings Post by: uklou on May 07, 2009, 02:12:14 PM I do sterling silver but not gold.

Also i dont know about allergies , but thewres also copper and bronze - ive made myself a bronze necklace and its fine , and im very allergic to nickal , but if it was going through the flesh it might be a problem ,as its an alloy of copper and tin .
