Title: Craft/Antique Fairs Post by: EJ on December 14, 2008, 11:54:24 PM Thinking about Corrie's experience in Glasgow (and other reports re fairs elsewhere) it's worth thinking about attending a combined Antiques and Crafts fair - you might catch the attention of a spender like Jones!
Today he went to Stafford Antiques Fair and came home with: 2 miner's lamps 3 crown bottle openers 12 fine crochet hooks (3 different stalls) 1 beautiful little glass vase (advance Chrissie Pressy for me) 1 1983 limited edition Selkirk Glass paperweight (advance etc.) At a combined fair you have the potential for extra customers. Had there been craft stalls he'd have looked at any soap ones (spy) and probably bought a couple of pairs of earrings for Child and myself and anything else which took his fancy as presents. (On the way home he bought a couple of litres of Morrison's light and mild olive oil 'cos I'd said that the Sainsburys' Olive Oil which he'd bought the other week didn't seem to give as good results in Castille as the Sainsbury's Light) |
