There are lots of members who make soap (all methods) and there are a number of us here who have had our hands held by other members in our first ever soap experience. The peeps here are great and very inspirational :buttrf: Anyway, I look forward to talking more with you around the forum - Welcome again!! ;D Title: Re: hi! Title: Re: hi! Post by: zuriua on September 23, 2008, 05:23:35 PM Hi Megan, welcome to the forum - be warned though, there is a tiny diddy little soap addiction that might happen :mwaha:

Theresa x Title: Re: hi! Post by: bellaphile on September 24, 2008, 07:06:32 PM thanks, everyone! im so excited to spend hours and hours procrastinating here! :-* It'll be a good procrastination though, help to feed the addiction hahahaa
lululiz and elainej...I do sell them on my website (www.disquietingdesigns.com) and I was thinking of using micas to color the soaps but Im concerned about it leaving stains on customers so i definitely want to research that. I am totally ready for the soap addiction, I just broke my stick blender on my first batch of HP soaps! You can't imagine how antsy I am to get some money together to buy a new one. It's almost holiday show season time, after all! Title: Re: hi! Post by: bellaphile on September 24, 2008, 07:07:51 PM Hi Megan and a very warm welcome. Ooh, mineral cosmetics! How interesting!! Well I could go into a diatribe about it (I happily will!) but then I get a little ranty :) Mineral makeup is makeup made with oxides and micas rather than chemicals like a lot of the big boys use. It's better for your skin and body because you're not taking in chemicals through your skin, you're using natural ingredients. It's also been known to help hide wrinkles better and give you a more natural glow than icky chemical foundations. Title: Re: hi! Off to check out your website... :mwaha: Title: Re: hi! Post by: Helen on September 24, 2008, 08:00:40 PM Wow!! I have just checked out your site and.... WOW!!!! Great site and fantastic products. Title: Re: hi! Post by: Silvergilt on September 24, 2008, 08:12:14 PM I'll give you a hello and WHOOHOO as well. I've had zero luck with makeup and had essentially given up wearing the stuff, but a friend turned me onto mineral makeup and I admit, huge difference.
Title: Re: hi! Post by: sarahlf on September 24, 2008, 08:27:35 PM I love mineral make-up and I'm sure we'll be picking your brains!
Welcome to a friendly board who are happy to share (and ask) for advice and help. Title: Re: hi! Post by: figrose on September 27, 2008, 09:31:05 AM I've been dabbling with mineral make up for a while now...that is wearing the stuff, not making it! It gives a great glow, the eyeshadows are fantastic with great staying power and blend really well.
Title: Re: hi! Post by: figrose on September 27, 2008, 09:31:43 AM Ooops, sorry, forgot to say Hi and welcome!
