Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: Suegardner on July 03, 2008, 11:50:55 PM whats a scarecrow weekend?
Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: EJ on July 04, 2008, 12:38:26 AM I think it's when the householders put up scarecrows in their gardens/on their houses for judging - someties they can be on a show field.
Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: Suegardner on July 04, 2008, 12:39:31 AM thats cool!! ;D
Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: andykim on July 04, 2008, 11:12:53 AM Our village put Scarecrows through the high street. Houses, shops, Garages all join in. Even the fire station have a scarecrow & an open day. There is a Farmers market bouncy castle craft fair etc.
Great weekend. Kim Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: andykim on July 15, 2008, 11:18:03 AM The weekend was a great success weather lovely crowds of people most of them I knew & they were most surprised to see my stall looking so professional.
Will post some pic's later. Had many customers come back to me from the school fair that I did at beginning of July asking for more.. Had to hurry back Saturday evening & make more body butter as I sold out? Also just sold some items on ebay so at least people are getting to my shop there. I put some items that we needed to sell from home on my shop site as it makes people aware of my shop then. Still trying to get my head round this web building. off to :pot: now, both cakes & croaping. Kim Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: EJ on July 15, 2008, 12:38:17 PM A good weekend Kim!
Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: corrie on July 15, 2008, 08:43:02 PM That sounds fun :D
I wanna scarecrow, the little beggars wake me up every morning :mwaha: If anyone is around oxford there's a show called Art In Action on from thurs to sun and my friend and neighbour is there. Look for Diana Drummond. Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: Helen on July 19, 2008, 06:06:26 PM Sounds brilliant kim, things are certainly looking good for your business. Well done :)
Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: andykim on July 09, 2009, 03:20:58 PM It is that time of year again.
Next weekend I have a stall from 8.00am until 5.30pm Saturday & Sunday in the middle of the village square. Where has the time gone ??? Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: danielle on July 09, 2009, 10:18:27 PM Goodluck Kim.
They have lots of money in that part of the world so you should do well. And your products are really reasonably priced & lovely. I will pray for it to be good weather (especially on saturday), not a good prediction :bawl:...I'll be out there too doing a market. Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: corrie on July 09, 2009, 11:15:50 PM Woah, that's an early start Kim :o
All the best for your fair! Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: andykim on July 10, 2009, 12:52:37 PM Sorry I had a bit of a moment (Still suffering from jet lag), it is not this week end but next weekend. Just as well I did not turn up :mwaha: Would never have lived that one down.
Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: EJ on July 10, 2009, 12:57:46 PM More time for preparation Kim - unless you have it all ready now!
Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: andykim on July 10, 2009, 01:20:51 PM Made up most of it before I went away that is why I was in such a state with regard to the soaps not coming out the moulds.
I spent a week making soaps everyday & am now just wrapping, boxing & labeling. Did have enough deodorants made up but since my return I have sold them all so have to make up more of those. Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: andykim on July 17, 2009, 04:08:29 PM Off now to load up my van ready for tomorrow.
Weather looks cr.p as usual think we would be used to it by now. Just so disappointing when you have to put up a Gazebo in the rain & shut yourself up in it. Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: andykim on July 21, 2009, 01:24:42 PM Good day Saturday but Sunday was sooo windy had to spend over 4 hours holding on to the Gazebo & stock as did all the other stall holders. Not many customers so we all packed up at 2.00pm Shame.
Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: EJ on July 21, 2009, 01:51:43 PM Shame about Sunday - how was it overall then, did Saturday's sales cover you?
Title: Re: Scarecrow Weekend Post by: andykim on July 21, 2009, 07:20:09 PM Yes & I had some people that want to buy regularly so I told them about the market starting up in September which they were pleased about.
