hi all - question is applicable to anyone who either makes OR buys candles  :mwaha:

I've made container candles on and off for years, in various jars and tins, but I want to offer them at one particular market soon, so want to consolidate.

I can't decide whether to go with tins or jars.

I don't do many markets so it would be a small number, so I want something with a lid so I don't have to bother with boxes etc.

I am undecided about 100ml aluminium tins such as Naturally Thinking do, or a smilar sized preserve jar.

I personally quite like the look of the tins, but friends and family seem to prefer the glass ones I've made.

Ooh... I do rather like those globe jars  :)

Mine are in glasses and sell well. I do like then in tins though.

As a buyer I'd go for the tin - I don't like non-preserves in preserve jars.

That's partly my thoughts EJ - I've seen some lovely candles in jam jars, and some naff ones also  :mwaha:

Its got to look like a design feature, not just something you found in the cupboard.

I need something with a built in lid, as I know after a couple of markets the tops start looking manky and I don't want the fuss and expense of boxes.

And second criteria is price - its only going to be a small sideline at a couple of markets where there isn't another candle seller, so costs need to be reasonable ....
