Title: PLEASE AVOID POSTING AFTER.... Post by: Helen on May 22, 2008, 08:06:38 PM Because of all those errors (grrrr) we have been getting, our hosts have moved us to another, much more stable server. As such, kes will have to migrate the site later this evening. Although kes will do his best to keep backing up the data base, there is a possibility that some posts will be lost during the migration. For this reason, if you could avoid posting after 10.30pm this evening (22nd May '08) it will help ensure your posts won't get lost in the abyss. It shouldn't take long to do and will be fine tomorrow morning.
If you have read this, would you mind reminding others as you post this evening that it will be best to avoid posting after 10.30pm (tonight only), both kes and myself would really appreciate it () Title: Re: PLEASE AVOID POSTING AFTER.... Post by: Helen on May 22, 2008, 10:30:38 PM Just reminding you all that kes will begin the migration shortly so while he will do his best to save posts as he goes along, there may be some lost during the migration :(
Title: Re: PLEASE AVOID POSTING AFTER.... Post by: lululiz on May 23, 2008, 07:18:10 AM Err... LLL, why the early mornings? My DH works in London, so gets up at 5am, which wakes me up, too. But he is such a darling, he then walks the doggies, makes me a cup of tea and brings it to me before having a shower. Two of my sons still live at home, the oldest works as a graphic designer in Rye, doesnt drive, so has to take the bus, so he gets up at 6.15, and my youngest is doing a tree surgery course at Plumpton College, doesnt drive either, so has to get up at 6am, take a train to Bexhill and then fortunately gets a lift from there. And by that time Poppy the puppy is all excited with all the people around, so not a hope in hell of going back to sleep, sigh. There you go, THAT'S WHY!! :) |
